What should you look for in a shed

  1. Are the floor joists 2x6?
  2. What kind of sheathing is used on the walls? ( we use 1 inch on all of our wall sheathing)
  3. What is the thickness of the floor and roof? (our sheds only use full 1 inch boards)
  4. Does the company use pressure treated 4x4 runners under the floor joists for support?
  5. Does the company frame the doors with 2x4's so it will not sag or drop over time (and do they warranty this?)
  6. Does the company use hot dipped galv. hardware?
  7. Do they use gusset plates and collar ties on the trusses?
  8. Are ramps included?
  9. Are vents included?
  10. Are flower boxes included?
  11. Ask if they ship the sheds in or if they are actually the manufacturer of the shed?

We offer all this standard in our sheds and we are the manufacturer.

Most companies start with a low base price and when you are done adding the extras it could be hundreds more than you expect.
